The main difference between PHP and JScript is how it works. A PHP code is a "Server Side" Language. When a PHP file is requested thru the website, the Web Server process the instructions in the .php file and provides the result. The Jscript is not processed by the Web server, it is processed by the computer requesting the web page.

Simple Ni-Cad Battery charger
A LM317 regulator is used to regulate the voltage and current for this circuit. This battery charger should be used only for Ni-Cad cells. Other type of batteries (li-ion, NiMh, Lead and Li-ion polymer) needs special care so it cannot be used.

A compass can locate the magnetic north pole, not the physical North Pole. The operation is simple; a magnetized needle always aligns to the earth's magnetic field, so any needle or magnet can be used to build a compass.

One Second Timebase.
Here are the instructions how to get one-second (1hz) pulses from a broken quartz clock. This is a precision timebase generator that can be used in any project that needs exactly one-second pulses. (6/11/2006) Updated!

Usually quartz clocks breaks easily (specially if these are made in china) after a while. The gears lose lubrication and the dust gets the job done. Fortunately, the electronics of the clock works for many years without problem, so you can "hack" a quartz clock to get a timebase generator.

Basically, this is a frequency-current converter. It is used as frequency meter. Calibrating it can be used as tachometer. Please be aware this is an experimental project, I didn't use it connected on any vehicle but it should work fine after calibration.
It can be connected directly to the voltage from the car. The input signal can be connected directly to any source of frequency. I believe it will work fine if it is connected directly to the spark plug line. Be sure not to use germanium diodes for this one. Any silicon diode should work fine.

My first "walking robot" didn't really walk, it just moves the legs but it uses the gears to be stable.
I tried to make a robot that really walks using only two "legs", but it is really hard. I decided to make a simple walking robot with six legs. (It wasn't published yet).

I Got some solar cells since two months ago, but it wasn't until the last week I decided to put those solar cells to work.
