Splenda No calorie Sweetener taste like sugar According to this website, Splenda do have a lot of serious side effects because the toxicity of the ingredients, so it gets a lot of my attention about this product, but this time I'm not going to talk or investigate this issue.

This time, I'm going to find if the company that makes Splenda; McNeil Nutritionals, is trying to confuse me. By the way, Splenda is a trademark of McNeil Nutritionals and I'm not related in any way with that company.

First of all, I can see the product promises a lot of things: "Ideal for the whole family. Great for cooking and baking. Measures cup for cup like sugar. Splenda No Calorie Sweetener is made from sugar so it tastes like sugar. Splenda granulated form is great for cooking, baking and sweetening beverages. It measures, sweetens and pours cup for cup like sugar. Splenda Granulated Sweetener can be used almost anywhere you use sugar. It works best in recipes where sugar is used primarily to sweeten, such as in beverages and in foods like cheesecakes, pies, puddings and custards. It also works well in quick breads and muffins. In some recipes, Splenda No Calorie Sweetener may contribute minimal calories. Suitable for people with diabetes. blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, ...

Splenda measurement chart

As you can see, "You can use it" as regular sugar, so your recipes are truble-free when trying to determine how much you need to use.

Don't worry, you will not use too "mucho" or too "poco" because you can replace a cup of sugar with a cup of Splenda granulated! One spoon of sugar with a spoon of Splenda! Cool!

Splenda granulated chart replacement Can you see it? I told you!

  • 1 cup of sugar = 1 cup of Splenda
  • 1 tsp of sugar = 1 tsp of Splenda
  • 1 TBSP of sugar = 1 TBSP of Splenda
  • 1 diabetic dog = 1 dog with Splenda
  • 50 g of sugar = approx 4 TBSP of Splenda
  • 100 g of sugar = approx 1/2 cup of Splenda

  • But wait, it is more sweet than sugar. But wait, here is more! Using splenda instead of sugar does have another benefit: A bag of 9.7 OZ have the equivalent of 5 LBs of sugar!

    That's right folks!

You get more sweetness with menos "dinero".

    * José Pino sings: "Why Don't you get a job"

[ He wants more dinero just to stay at home (stay at home!) Well my friend, You gotta say...]

Splenda sweetener weight WAIT A MINUTE!

Net Wt 9.7 OZ but it is equivalent to 5 LBs of Sugar, so if you want to replace a cup of sugar for your recipe you can use one cup of Splenda but it is more sweet than sugar so replace the cup of sugar with less splenda because the 9.7OZ of Splenda is equivalent to 5 LBs of sugar that you can use the same amount, well not exactly the same amount because the weight of 9.7OZ is equivalent to 5LBs but you should replace the quantity...

    Confusing?

Well, Splenda should not use "weight" on their equivalences, should use "volume" as the granulated form gives the product the "equivalent" volume of sugar, not weight.
