Stone Found Almost ready for Christmas, one of the best Christmases ever that makes Christmas 2004 almost gone from my mind.

While doing some exercise (walking), I found this interesting stone. I hope you can see what is interesting about it.
Taken from http://www.josepino.com
I remember when I was a child dreaming about finding treasures or something really old. This time, I believe one of my dreams became a reality. I guess it sounds silly, but it is true.

Mayan Stone This is a photo of the stone itself. I guess now you can see it better.

The size of the stone is about 4.5 inches wide and 3.7 inches tall.

Looking for old coins and precious metals are easier to find because we can use metal detectors. But finding a rock with Mayan drawings is pure luck.

Where I found this Stone? Doesn't matter. What really matters is I feel like I found a treasure. Not every day I find a stone with Mayan drawings. You can see clearly the face of a Mayan warrior, or maybe a priest.

At the left side, there is a symbol (incomplete, as the stone is broken), so I guess the complete stone was indicating an event at the Maya age.

The carvings of the stone indicate that it was broken before it was carved, so there are no additional pieces. Also, I can say the carvings were made the last century, little more than 500 years after the Mayan culture disappeared.

I'm not an expert about the Mayan culture; I know everything about this stone because I made it.

When I was a child, I was so fascinated by the Mayan culture. I remember myself carving stones with Maya glyphs or drawings. After I finished this stone I just "lost" it. The purpose was to find it someday.

I remember I made about three or four stones like this one, with different drawings. So there is one and more to go.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this one. Ideas are welcome.
