A Black day.

August, 6th.

Hiroshima, 8:15 am: some kids were at school. Others kids were going to factories as the country was in war. Mothers were cooking and nurses were working at hospitals. People walking on the street, near the Temmagawa river.

Suddenly, a bright light.

People just disappeared, vaporized by the heat. Other people, jumped into the river trying to escape from the heat, but it was too late, their skin is falling in pieces, in a few seconds, the river is full of dead bodies.

Buildings, basically, were crushed. More than 70,000 people were killed immediately, and another 70,000 were injured. It took only a few minutes: Hiroshima was erased from the map.

After several minutes, People on the street had their skin blackened by burns. They had no hair because it was burned. You can't tell if they were facing you because the skin on their face and body just hung down... They were like walking ghosts, dropping dead on the streets1.

I believe, the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a terrible war crime. I wasn't there, but no one deserves it.

By the way, for the Anonymous guy that said: "Japan earned the bombing it received. [...] I would say japan is lucky that the whole country is not one big sheet of glass." Let me tell you something; what if we change your statement like this: "Americans earned the morning of 9/11 that they received."

I guess you don't like it. I don't like it either, it is a horrible statement and no one deserves it. I wasn't in Japan on 1945, but I saw 9/11. I saw the killing of innocent civilians and I'm aware that august 6 of 1945 was worse and more horrible than we think.

I hope, someday, schools in the US stop displaying on the walls the surrender letter from Japan signed after the bombings. I don't think there is a reason to proudly show to our kids that "We killed thousands of innocent people and we won the war."

August 6th and August 9th of 1945: Black days on human history.
